Volunteer with CPG
A lot of our research and campaigns are run online and therefore, we are in need of volunteers who can assist in a range of ways, from the comfort of their own home.
If you have experience or skills in one or more of the areas listed below, please enquire with us today. If your skills don’t match the list, please apply anyway. Volunteers are our most important asset, and there is always a way that you can contribute.
Ways to volunteer
Online research, writing & analysis
CPG believes in the power of accurate data to drive change.
You can volunteer to help our research team by utilising your attention, researching or analysing industry data, or writing reports.
Traditional media
Traditional media is an important part of CPG’s communication strategy.
Volunteer with our media team to assist with planning and submitting news releases, liaising with the media and collecting important coverage.
Backup media spokesperson
The opportunity to assist our media team, and step into a media facing role when needed.
If you have media experience or training and are comfortable speaking in front of a camera, CPG would love to hear from you.
Social media & content management
Social media is a powerful tool and where a lot of CPG’s audience come to get updates.
If you have skills in social strategy, posting, increasing reach and engagement, and the desire to be a part of the daily conversation, CPG could use your help.
Writing government submissions
CPG are committed to lobbying the government to enact policy changes.
If you want to help make a difference on the political level, volunteer to work with our team to liaise with the government, and compile and send government submissions.
Admin and support
There are always ways to assist CPG with administration and support tasks.
You can assist our team managing files, updating contact lists and spreadsheets, and searching online databases.
Monitoring & tracking
Monitoring of greyhound racing stewards' reports around the country doesn’t take long, but it’s important.
If you are able to volunteer a small amount of time daily, plus have a strong stomach and basic computer literacy, please enquire about volunteering today.
Media law
There are various legal matters surrounding the greyhound racing industry and related media.
CPG requires volunteers with legal experience, who can advise on matters of defamation, libel, and policy changes.
